Hi—I’m Nancy Bennett. I’ve taught English at all high school grade levels in a variety of schools before coming to Arizona: a small country school in the middle of an Indiana cornfield, a parochial school in the Chicago metro area, and a suburban Indianapolis high school.
A voracious reader and true nerd, my favorite subject has always been literature, and I’ve earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Franklin College (Indiana) and a master's degree in English education from Indiana University. I've also done master’s work in English from Butler University. In addition, I’ve received additional study opportunities through grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities at Columbia University, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
I live in Chandler, Arizona, with my husband, a former Dean of Students, basketball, golf, and tennis coach, and my sweet, sweet dog, Buddy L. Bennett. In the spare time I have when not grading papers, I love reading, walking, and cooking.
