Course Description

This course is designed to assist students with their Individual Education Plan (IEP) in general and special education courses in addition to supporting growth in their social emotional learning (SEL). An emphasis is placed on developing the necessary student skills needed to succeed in high school, as well as, post-secondary careers or college. These skills include, but are not limited to, Self-Management, Self-Awareness, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making. Additional effort will be placed on organization of course materials, preparation for tests, study techniques and learning strategies, as well as, time to complete general course assignments and projects.
 
This program also serves to provide a location for students to utilize for additional supports, when necessary, for academic or social emotional and behavioral assistance. We encourage students to play an active roll in their education, and we welcome comments and suggestions to best support them.
