CGUHSD Online Academy

Students will participate in the high-level learning they are used to, but in a structured online environment using Edgenuity. The Edgenuity curriculum is grounded in research and is aligned to Arizona State Standards, the Common Core, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Students will be enrolled in three (3) courses per quarter and are expected to complete six (6) courses per semester with classes assigned based on each student’s academic graduation requirements. Families who choose this model will remain remote for the duration of the school semester. Students enrolled in CGUHSD Online Academy are not eligible to enroll in on-campus classes.
The goal of CGUHSD is for all our students to be successful. Part of that success will depend on the model of learning your family chooses this semester. Please consider the characteristics of a successful online learner before selecting the online model of learning.
Please Note: Elements of our plan may be subject to change based on state and local updates. We will continue to share relevant updates with our community.

Before making your decision to attend CGUHSD Online Academy, ask yourself the following:

  • Am I self-motivated and self-disciplined?
  • Am I good at managing my time?
  • Do I have regular, convenient, and easy access to a computer and reliable internet?
  • Am I comfortable with online professional communication (email, Word documents, Blackboard)?
  • Do I have good reading comprehension skills?
  • Am I good at setting and usually achieving goals?
  • Am I generally a confident student?
  • Do I give up easily when faced with a difficult task?
  • Am I confident in expressing myself in writing?
  • Am I willing to work independently?
  • Am I in good academic standing; no more than two (2) credits deficient?
