Congratulation to our 3 state qualifiers for wrestling.

Students interested in playing sports in the spring—need to turn in your physical with fee receipt to the Athletic department so that you can be cleared to participate.  Students who have played in fall or winter sports you only need to pay the fee for spring then you may be cleared.  Deadline is Feb 16 for all physicals, documents and fee to be paid.

Boys basketball games at home tonight @ 4 and 530pm; tomorrow is Boys Senior night @ 530 and 7pm.  
Girls basketball varsity only today and tomorrow away @ Mcclintock and Paradise Valley departs @ 330pm both days.

Try outs today for baseball/softball are Monday Feb. 5th @ 3:30PM.  Waivers are needed to try out.  
 
Tennis practice Feb 7 through Feb 28 Mon-Thu, no Fridays; after school.

University of Arizona here February 6th at 11:20 in the Agora.  Scholarship night on February 7th from 3:05-7pm in the Agora.  
THE VGXC 9th Annual 5K Run-Walk will be Saturday March 3rd

February 7th and 14th from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Vista Grande Library for tandy leather class.

MORP on February 9th from 7-10pm. Tickets are only $15 for couples and $10 for singles. Prices will be higher at the door! School ID and ticket will be needed to enter the dance.  Students bringing guests must fill out a dance waiver and get approved by the Athletic Dept.

Mon-Fri (Feb. 5-Feb. 9), we will have 8th graders visiting our campus. The 8th graders will arrive at 9:15am and depart at 11:30am. Student council will begin Vista tours at 9:30am.

Attn seniors! The Rotary scholarship application is now available in the guidance department. Apply soon, deadline March 16th.

Auditions for VG Theatre Company’s next play are today at 3:30 in the auditorium. There are 5 male and 6 female roles to fill. No experience necessary. No singing and dancing required.

They’re back again this year! Singing telegrams will be sold again this year for Valentines Day. They can be purchased for $3 and include a special serenade, a card and even candy delivered right to your Valentine in the middle of their class. You pick the song and character to deliver a fun message to those you care about to show them exactly how much you care. 

SkillsUSA Week is this week, February 5-9! VG’s chapter will celebrate each day by sponsoring a lunchtime activity. 
Today is Makeup Monday where you will be able to learn how to do some special effects makeup. Stop by our table and get a scar, bruise, cut or other fun special effect applied!  SkillsUSA Fact of the Day- SkillsUSA was founded 53 years ago in 1965 to promote a industry partnerships for students and was originally called VICA for Vocational Industrial Clubs of America.
