Before and after school tutoring will begin Tuesday, Jan. 16th.

 

 

The Casa Grande Police Department is hosting an open house for those interested in joining the Police Explorer Program, Thursday, January 18th from 6 to 8pm at the Casa Grande Police Department, address is 373 E. Val Vista.  If you have any questions, please call Wendy Lloyd at 560-6870…light refreshments will be served!

 

 

Mark your calendars now!  On January 20, CGUHS will be having a "Winter Wonderland Dance."  The dance begins at 7:00 P.M. and ends at 10:30 P.M.  It will be held in the cafeteria, and admission is $10.00 per ticket.  Celebrate the new year with that special someone at this semi-formal dance. (Semi-formal means no jeans.  Dress it up but don't go as big as prom!) 

Tickets will go on sale January 10 and will be available in the Bookstore. 

 

 

THE AMERIND CLUB WILL BE MEETING TODAY AFTER SCHOOL IN C202.  ALL MEMBERS PLEASE ATTEND.

 

 

THERE IS A YOUNG DEMOCRATS CLUB ON CAMPUS.  IT MEETS EVERY TUESDAY AT 7:30 AM IN MR. MACHELOR'S ROOM.   ALL ARE WELCOME.  

 

Casa Grande Union High School will be hosting a Blood Drive on Feb.6th during periods 1-4. You must be 16 years old to give blood. Please sign up in the nurse’s office and become a Hero and save 3 lives. If you have questions, ask any Key club member. Thank you!!

 

Attention all students: If you are interested in participating in a spring sport please stop by Mrs. Soto office for a sports physical packet. In the spring we have the following sports: baseball, softball, track, girl’s tennis & boy’s tennis.

 

Any track athlete that would like to get a head start, preseason track has now begun, come see Mr. Kieser or Miss Ashley for details.

 

Girls Tennis practice will be next Wednesday, January 17th at 3:15 pm. If you are interested and would like to play tennis this year, you will need to be at this meeting and practice. Thank you!

 

Baseball Meeting today right after school in the weight room. Open field practice will begin Tuesday, January 16th right after school.

 

Attention CGUHS Students, for those of you sophomores, juniors, and/or seniors-applying to ASU that are interested and meet the requirements of having a 3.25 GPA, have had "A's" and B's in your math/Science classes, there will be an informational presentation for the A.S.U.  Joaquin Bustoz Math and Science Honors Summer Program given by Recruiters/Program Coordinators Cynthia Romero-Barragan and Ciera Duran (CGUHS-Alumni). The Presentation will take place here on campus Wednesday, January 31st from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the Olaski. They will present information and answer questions regarding the program. If you are interested in attending the Joaquin Bustoz Math and Science Honors Summer Program, please attend the presentation. For more information please see Mr. Razo in room F109."

 

Today girls’ soccer plays at home. JV girls vs. Vista Grande @ 4 pm, Varsity vs. Marcos De Niza @ 6 pm.
