ACTIVITY BUSSES DEPART @ 545PM NO BUS PASS NO BOARDING. 

SENIORS: The Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Scholarship of Casa Grande is awarding educational scholarships for a maximum of $1,000 for the 2018-2019 school year. Please pick up a scholarship application near the guidance department or talk to your counselor. Deadline is January 26th, 2018. 
 
Seniors, here is a reminder about important deadlines at ASU: Jan. 1:   priority filing  date for the FAFSA and the Obama Scholars Program   Jan. 8:    Early Action 2 - Barrett, The Honors College - students don’t have to be admitted to ASU to apply to Barrett.  

Congratulations to the sophomores who will represent VGHS at the Hugh O'Brien or HOBY Leadership camp in June.
 
 The VG band performing its Winter Concert and Marching Band Revue tonight at 6:30 pm. The concert is free and is in the VG auditorium.
 
Sophomores, are any of you interested in attending CAVIT next year? If so, you can take a tour of the campus in January. Please sign up with your counselor, spaces are limited.  final notice.
 
Students with library items due over Christmas Break turn them in by Dec. 21st or remember to renew online or by phone. The Library is open over break and we will not waive fines when you come back because you did not get your items turned in or renewed before you left for break.

Electronic devices may be used in classrooms AT THE DIRECTION OF TEACHERS FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES ONLY.  Electronic devices are subject to confiscation if used without teacher permission or if used in violation of the Responsible Use Agreement.  Misuse of an electronic device, personal or district issued, may result in disciplinary action.  Please refer to the discipline matrix for details.  Refusing to give up an electronic device, personal or district issued, will result in 3 days of In-School Detention. The school is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or confiscated property.  Personal speakers are not to be used anywhere on campus without the express permission from administration. pages 15-16 in Handbook. Confiscation of Personal Devices1st Offense: Parent pick up of the item(s). 2nd offense: Saturday School and parent pick-up of item(s). 3rd offense: 1 day of In-School Detention.4th offense: 3 days of In-School Detention. Every infraction thereafter shall be decided by administration.
