Tutoring in the Vista Grande High School (VGHS) Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Department is taking place every day in Room 1150 and, because of it, students’ grades are improving with the help of Paraprofessionals: Mrs. Kakar (Math), Mrs. Parra (Science), Ms. Burton (English), and Mrs. Ruiz (History). Each Paraprofessional learns and tutors multiple assignments to assist students with missing work. Sometimes, only a few students come in and, other days, extra space is created to comply with social distancing. According to Paraprofessional Rhonda Ruiz, “Helping students improve grades is a wonderful feeling.
