Evan Chaparro, son of Tandy and Alex Chaparro, was recognized by Principal Glenda Cole on Tuesday, September 1, as September’s VGHS Rotary Student of the Month. As a senior, he has accumulated a list of activities and accomplishments. Activities include: Student Council (3-Yr President), Key Club (1-Yr President), Robotics, Math League, AP Math Club, AP Stats Club, National Honor Society, Casa Grande Youth Commission, UArizona KEYS Intern, and ASU SCENE Intern. His personal accomplishments include earning straight A’s all four years (4.740 GPA), being ranked number one in the Senior Class, and earning the Vista Grande Academic Award all four years of high school. In the future, he wants to attend the University of Southern California, major in Chemical Engineering, use his career to help solve some of the problems we face today, and make a name for himself both in his career and in life.
