Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports
VG-PBISElements (1)

School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a system of tools and strategies for defining, teaching, acknowledging appropriate behavior, and correcting inappropriate behavior. It is a framework for creating customized school systems that supports student outcomes and academic success. PBIS is for the whole school, it is preventative, and it changes the paradigm of focus from negative behaviors and exchanges to positive expectations and interactions. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is nationally recognized and implemented in over 22,000 schools in all 50 states. Vista Grande High School PBIS is coordinated by Behavioral Interventionist Jared Walther. Visit www.cguhsd.org/vgPBIS.aspx.
