Morning, students and teachers. The countdown to NAEP assessment is
underway. We are only two days away from NAEP Day on Thursday, Jan. 31
when some of our 12 graders will take this important assessment to measure our
nation’s educational progress. Senior students selected will receive an
orange pass today in their third period class telling them the time and
location they are to report to this Thursday. If you have any questions,
please reach out to Mr. Anderson in the office.
Ciera
Duran, The ASU Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program Coordinator
and Recruiter, will be here next Tuesday, February 5th in the Olaski
during 1st period (8:10 am-9:10 am) to give CGUHS
Students information about the summer program. Students interested
in applying for the program must meet the following requirements:
Be a
full-time student enrolled in college track courses
Completed
their sophomore year and three years of math (Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra
II by the end of the spring 2019 semester
Have an
unweighted Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
Minimum
grades of B in math and Science classes
Seniors who
apply must be attending ASU in Fall of 2019
The
application deadline is Friday February 15, 2019
