Attention
Seniors:
If you have
received a scholarship to any college, please bring your award letter to
Mrs. Martinez in the Guidance Department. This will allow her to
order your red scholarship cords for graduation. You MUST PROVIDE
WRITTEN documentation for the scholarship to receive a cord. If you
are a Senior and have enlisted in the US Military, please bring in your
Military contracts to Mrs. Martinez so she can order your military scholarship
cords. All students providing written documentation will receive an invitation
to our Academic Scholarship Evening that will be held on Thursday, May
9. Deadline for providing documentation for the Scholarship Evening
is Thursday, April 18, 2019.
A field
trip to GCU is scheduled for February 28th. Students will tour their
campus, visit the Cadaver Lab and have lunch. The trip is open to
sophomores, juniors and seniors who have not visited GCU before. Only 50
students can go. See Mrs. Miraldi in guidance for a permission slip.
Permission slips are due by Friday or when all 50 spots are filled.
If you are a Junior or Senior interested in
enlisting OR just want to know what your strengths are and some possible career
choices, listen up! We will be offering the ASVAB on Thursday, March 14th. If
you are interested, the exam is free, and you can sign up in the guidance area.
Attention sophomores, juniors, and seniors. If you
have never taken the CAC Accuplacer and are interested in taking classes at
CAC, please listen up. We will be offering the CAC Accuplacer on Tuesday, March
5th at the start of 1st hour. Please see your counselor to sign up. We only
have 90 seats and the test is FREE. You MUST sign up by February 27th, no
exceptions.
Powderbuff, the
boys’ volleyball game is open to any freshmen, sophomores or Juniors
interested. The participation fee is
$15, which includes a t-shirt. Please
sign up in the Bookstore!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: We will be offering
the in-school SAT on Tuesday, April 9th at the start of 1st hour. Please see
your counselor to sign up. If you are on free or reduced lunch, we have 30 fee
waivers available. Spots are limited, so sign up soon. The deadline to sign-up
will be March 15th.

Powderpuff! Come see the Junior vs.
Senior girls compete in a football game. The game starts @ 7 pm & Admission is $5.
