The month of January was Charcoal Month in VGHS Art classes. The students learned several techniques using different types of charcoal. They had specific assignments throughout the month. During the week of January 27, they chose their own subject. This was their chance to show off the skills they had acquired and to put all the techniques learned to use. They took on the challenge and came up with amazing illustrations that were hand drawn, freehand, without tracing, and using nothing but charcoal. The Spartans are taught by Fine Arts & CTE Teacher Carlos Jimenez.
