The 2nd Annual Casa Grande STEAM Fair (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) took place on Saturday, March 7 in Carr-McNatt Park. Mayor Craig McFarland read his Proclamation making March 1-7 STEAM Week in Casa Grande. CGUHSD Superintendent Dr. Steven Bebee and CGUHS Principal Brain Mabb echoed the Mayor’s comments on the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering , Arts & Design, and Mathematics to our developing community. The event was organized and run by Arizona Chief Science Officer Chloe Buchanan, a senior at CGUHS, and Arizona Chief Science Officer Merlin D’souza, a junior at CGUHS. The Chief Science Officers were supported by the students of Casa Grande Union High School; in particular, members of the STEM Advisory Council, chaired by senior Julia Leija. Thank you to all the people who made it possible. What a great day for our students!
