Two (2) CGUHS art students, Veronica Federico (10) and Maricianna Martinez (11), won 1st Place and Runner-Up respectively in the Kiwanis Track Meet Cover Contest. The Kiwanis Club sponsors a regional track meet at CGUHS each year. This was their 67th year. A number of years ago, they decided to have a contest among art students for the privilege of having their artwork on the cover of the track meet program. Both students are members of Lexia Gibson’s 5th Hour Art Class. They were honored at the Kiwanis breakfast meeting on Thursday, April 4. As part of their recognition, they received gift cards donated by area businesses.
