CGUHS was represented at the Skills USA State Championship by 18 of their top construction students. The Skills USA Championship has competitive events showcasing the best career and technical education students in the nation. Contests begin locally and continue through the state and national levels. In the trades areas alone, there were 400 competitors. The Cougars placed 3rd in the following areas: (Team Works) Kyle Sugaski, Zach Turner, Elijah Cordova, Casey Rabago and (Masonry) Kyle Lynch. CGUHS construction students are taught by Michael Wagner.
