The CGUHS Early Childhood Education competed in the Family Career and Community Leaders of America State Competition Monday-Wednesday, April 15-17. Gold Medal Winners: Lydia Brown (Teach and Train), Jadyn Esquivel (Life Event Planning), Shyla Mayerhofer (Life Event Planning), and Savanna Vasquez (Life Event Planning); Silver Medal Winners: Isabel Espinoza (Sports Nutrition) and Andrew Reyes (Sports Nutrition); and Bronze Medal Winners: Alejandra Castro Beltran (Career Investigations), Ashley Fisher (Environmental Ambassador), and Jaclyn Wall (Environmental Ambassador). Individuals/Teams who placed in the top two in their event qualified for Nationals, which will be held at the end of June in Anaheim, California. National contenders are: Lydia Brown, Isabel Espinoza, Andrew Reyes, and Savanna Vasquez. CGUHS Early Childhood Education classes are taught by Cathie White.
