VGHS Early Childhood Education competed in the Family Career and Community Leaders of America State Competition Monday-Wednesday, April 15-17. Gold Medal Winners: Jasmine Moreno (Illustrated Talk Team 2); Silver Medal Winners: Jade McWherter (Illustrated Talk Team 1), Carlee Meiner (Illustrated Talk Team 1), Udaeti Thaker (Job Interview), and Janeya Verbeek (Illustrated Talk Team 1); Bronze Medal Winner: Daniel Wiles (Toys that Teach); and 3rd Place: Mercedes Archuleta-Coury (Story Stretching 3rd Place). Udaeti Thaker will represent the Spartans at Nationals. VGHS Early Childhood Education classes are taught by Cassandra Yeo.
