During the week of September 9-13, VGHS art students learned to paint with acrylics for the first time this year. Art 1 students painted a rose and Art 2 students painted an Eiffel Tower. Both paintings are re-creations of Art Teacher Mr. Carlos Jimenez’s work. The lesson and techniques learned from the rose painting was creating contrast by adding shadows and lighting. The Eiffel Tower paintings were done through stippling, or creating a picture with individual dots/brush strokes. Art 1 and Art 2 students are taught by Mr. Carlos Jimenez.
