Valentine’s Day is next week. Thespians are back again this year selling the very popular Valentine Singing Telegrams. Telegrams are only $3 through Thursday. Buy them before the cost goes up to $5 on Friday.

Tickets for the Spartan Voice Singsation and Dancing with the Staff competitions on Friday at 6 pm in the Auditorium. Tickets will be sold for $10 at the door. Tickets for $5 at the Skills USA booth at lunch or from Mrs. Harding in room 3044.

All sophomores will meet in the auditorium for an enrollment presentation on Thursday, February 9th during 5th period. Students should go to fifth period and will be released after attendance.

All juniors should have submitted their enrollment forms for next year. If you have not turned in your enrollment form, please turn it in to your counselor today. Final Notice before we start picking your classes for you.

Incoming freshmen for the 2017-2018 school year that our 8th grade Parent Night will be Thursday, February 9th starting at 5 pm in the main gym.

Waivers for Powder Buff need to be turned in before practice next week. Turn them into Ms. Hinz in room 1218.

Sports

Baseball, softball and track TRYOUTS all week after school; waivers are required in order to participate. Girls tennis tryouts start Feb 9.

Clubs
Skills USA focuses on three main skills: personal skills, technical skills and workplace skills and it’s objective is to combat America’s skill gap in the workforce and give students the opportunity to obtain the attributes needed in today’s workplace. Check out our table at lunch today for Wind-Up Wednesday where we will be showing coiling skills.

The AmerInd Club will be giving out eegees during both lunches on Friday February 10th to Native American students interested in signing up to become a member of the VGHS Amerind Club.

Z CLUB hosting a scholarship workshop on Thursday, Feb 9 from 315-5pm in Rm 1235. All current and former members please bring 2 classmates snacks and drinks.

College/Scholarship Updates
The counseling office has applications for the Juvenile Court Services scholarship, the Zonta International scholarship and the Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program at ASU. Come by the counseling office and pick one up!
