Attention
Seniors:
If you have
received a scholarship to any college, please bring your award letter to
Mrs. Martinez in the Guidance Department. This will allow her to
order your red scholarship cords for graduation. You MUST PROVIDE
WRITTEN documentation for the scholarship to receive a cord. If you
are a Senior and have enlisted in the US Military, please bring in your
Military contracts to Mrs. Martinez so she can order your military scholarship
cords. All students providing written documentation will receive an
invitation to our Academic Scholarship Evening that will be held on Thursday,
May 9. Deadline for providing documentation for the Scholarship
Evening is Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Boys
Basketball open gym workouts for those not in a spring sport will be
Monday April 15 and Thursday April 18 from 3:15 to 5:00.
Seniors- if you are
planning to attend ASU please consider applying for the Alvarez Memorial
Scholarship. Applications are available in the scholarship drawer in the
counseling area. The deadline is this Friday, April 12th.
Summer school forms are now
available from your school counselor. If you need to make up credit for a
class you failed see your counselor for the form. The cost is $50, and
space fills up fast!
Seniors- the deadline to
turn in your permission slip for the Vaquero Rally Day has been extended until
Thursday, April 18th. This is a great opportunity for those of you attending
CAC in the fall to be ready when classes begin in August. Permission
slips are available through senior teachers or in the counseling area.
The University of Arizona
will be in the library during both lunches. Please stop by to see Leilani
and ask questions and get information about this great University in Tucson!
The deadline to make
changes to your class requests for next school year is May 15th. Contact
your counselor by email or in person to make any changes.
Congratulations to the boy’s
tennis team they won the Pinal County Championship on Saturday.

Caden Mace took first place in
the singles competition.

Girls Tennis played in the Pinal
County Tennis championship on Saturday April 13, 2019.
Marisol Anchondo won 1st place
in the girl’s singles tennis and Summer Shedd/Sorraya Wright got 3rd place in
girls doubles. The whole girls team won
the team championship for the tournament. The players were Marisol Anchondo,
Summer Shedd, Sorraya Wright, Clara Munguia, Nicole Brooks and Kathye Ruiz. Great job girls!
Congratulations CGUHS Elite Dance Company on winning the highest score
of “Platinum” on their Senior Division Hip-Hop routine! They won First Place
overall and are the Senior Division Regional Champions of the Bravo Dance &
Talent Competition! Our soloists won Elite High Gold and took home 2nd and 3rd
place awards in their divisions as well!!! Great job COUGARS!!!
