Campus News and Events
All students must wear their ID when they are on campus, no exceptions.
No Gum is allowed on campus.
Students must clean up after themselves and throw their garbage away after lunch. Students remember we do have a dress code for campus.
STUDENTS you must park in the student parking lot which is located across from building four and by the football field, please do not park in the back parking lot. You must have your parking permit from the bookstore and visible in your vehicle. Effective immediately.
Jostens will be here Aug 24 from 1030-1130 in the Auditorium for Seniors, and Aug 30 for the Juniors.
Seniors who are in the CAC English 101 course and are taking the Accuplacer today, please go directly to the AGORA for 5th hour.
Spirit Week: Back to school Spirit week is August 14th – 18th Remember dress code applies to all spirit days.
Mon- Fiesta vs. Siesta (Dress to impress or dress to rest)
Tues - Too Hot Tuesday (school appropriate summer wear)
Wed - Workplace Wednesday (Dress as your future self)
Thurs - 3rd Grade Thursday (throwback to dressing like a 3rd grader)
Fri - Black and Gold
Tutoring: Need help? Tutors are available before and after school in room 1206. Mornings (except Wednesday) from 7:30-8:00. After school (except Fridays) from 3:15-5:00.
Freshmen Dance: Freshman Dance in the Commons Aug 18 from 6-9pm.
Clubs
Key Club is having their first blood drive on Tuesday, August 22nd. Any student that is 16 and up can donate. Please sign up with Ms. Vasquez or Mrs. Ortega. Key Club first meeting is Aug 15 @ 730am.
The Athletic Trainer Student Club is selling sno cones after school and will be selling at varsity football games....$1 for sno cones and $0.50 for just ice.
Sports
Athletes you must be completely cleared through the athletic office to participate in your sport by the middle of next week.
All football players must be cleared by Aug 14 to participate in our Football Scrimmage game on Aug 17 at home against Dobson @ 6pm. Go Spartans!
Mandatory Softball meeting in the Agora on Aug 17 at 330pm.
Vista Grande Football Booster 5th annual ladies night today from 5-8pm in the cafeteria.
All girls interested in girls basketball , meeting next Thursday at 3:15 in the Agora. Come and meet the Coach!
