On Saturday, November 9, the VGHS Chinese classes attended the Confucius Institute at the University of Arizona (CIUA) Chinese Language and Culture Day. The students sang a Chinese song and acted out the Chinese drama Mulan in which they placed third. The students also received a trophy for “Outstanding Group Award”. Their teacher, Mrs. Huamei Wang, had great things to say about the Spartans, "It’s not easy for them, but they did it. I’m really proud of them!"
