Ethan Jones from Vista Grande High School was recognized Tuesday, November 5, as the Casa Grande Union High School District’s Career and Technical Education Student of the Month during the district’s regular monthly school board meeting. Ethan was nominated by his Construction teacher Mr. Rich Contreras who stated: “Ethan is a junior and second year student in the construction program. Ethan comes to class every day ready to learn and, on most projects, he is the group leader. Ethan plans to attend Central Arizona College, enter the Construction Program, and also take classes in welding.” Ethan’s parents are Christopher Jones, and Sean and Cynthia Thompson. Over 1,800 students are enrolled in the fifteen different Career and Technical Education programs offered in the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month a different program may nominate a student for this recognition program.
