VGHS Art 1 students drew a still-life of a sheet that was setup on a table. The emphasis was on the principle of design "contrast". Students were asked to capture intense shading and lighting using pencil. The Art 2 students worked with the same principle, but they drew Art Teacher Carlos Jimenez’s car, and were only allowed to use charcoal sticks. The Spartan artwork is displayed on the bulletin board outside of the classroom.
