Through an intensive application, presentation, and interview process, the CGUHS Future Farmers of America (FFA) was selected as the 2018-2019 Chapter of the Year. This ranks the chapter 1st out of 83 chapters across the great state of Arizona. FFA members traveled to Tucson, AZ, and attended the Arizona Association FFA 90th State Leadership Conference, 90 Years A Legacy, June 6-8. Some highlights of the conference included: the Conduct of Meetings and Parliamentary Procedures teams competed; Ashton Redd was a finalist and earned 2nd Place in Prepared Public Speaking; Ashton Redd was elected South Central District President; Amanda Hartman was named an Honorary State Degree recipient; five (5) State Degree recipients were named; and three (3) American Degree recipients were named.
