Application for Free and Reduced–Priced meals will be sent home with all CGUHSD students the
first day of school along with a letter that describes the program in more detail.  Applications are
also available at each school’s office and with the café’s manager or you may download an application
in English or Spanish from the files below, an Adobe Reader is required to open the files.  
Applications may be returned to the school office or the café’s manager.

Please remember that it is the parent’s responsibility to make sure the food service office manager
receives the application.  Each application can take up to 10 days to process, if you do not receive
a letter of approval in a timely manner (10-14 days); Please call Beverly Wells - 520-316-3316 or 
Carla Marquez – 520-316-3316, respectively.  Please remember, for a faster response time, it is best
 to submit the application as early as possible and not on the first day of school.  On average we 
process over 2000 applications at the beginning of each school year, so apply early!

A new application must be completed each school year.  Students with approved applications on
file from the previous year, and any additional siblings, will receive the same free or reduced-price
benefits through September 2008.  After that, any families who have not submitted a new application
will have meal benefits terminated.

To apply for free or reduced-price meals, an adult household member should complete the application
and return it to the child’s school.  One application may be used to list all high school children in the
household, except for foster children, who require a separate application.

Applications are available in English and Spanish and may be submitted at any time during the school
year.  School officials may verify application information at any time during the school year.
