We hold the following values as we make strategic decisions regarding the future of the Casa Grande Union High School District.

We place the needs of students first and are dedicated to doing whatever is necessary to meet their individual educational needs. We believe in high quality, measurable standards and expectations for students.

Board members and staff demonstrate high integrity by supporting our values for which we stand. There is congruence between our words and deeds. We seek organizational unity, focus, and collaboration. We believe in fiscal responsibility.

We engage in a work ethic dedicated to high performance and personal responsibility. We believe in flexibility, creativity, and proactive decision-making. We set high quality, measurable standards and expectations for adults. We believe in data driven decisions.

We are respectful as we seek quality multi-level communication among stakeholders that are responsive to their perspectives and needs. Staff interaction and involvement is promoted and high morale among staff, parents, and students is sought. We celebrate successes.

We believe in developing organizational capacity from within our community. Collaboration and involvement of parents, students, educators, business people, government officials, and other stakeholders within our community make us strong.

CGUHSD will create the opportunity for all students and everyone within our learning community to achieve excellence.

Goals

The following goals are in place to support student learning.  Our goals are to…..

  • provide strong programs for student and staff learning
  • build and maintain high quality educational facilities
  • promote strong parent and community relations
  • maintain a high level of organizational effectiveness
  • maintain a high level of safety within our District

Strategic Objectives

These represent initial strategic objectives. Objectives that are more comprehensive will be identified as the tactical aspect of the strategic plan is further developed.

Planning

  • Identify a strategic planning steering committee and taskforces to develop plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Develop a contingency plan to manage student growth until new facilities are built
  • Meet with the City and collaborate in a plan to manage growth as it relates to the District
  • Plan and implement a Bond election in collaboration with the elementary District

Coordination of Educational Programs and Resources

  • Meet with the elementary District to plan and implement a formal or informal unification plan

Safety and Security

  • Develop a comprehensive, community-based safety, disaster, and contingency learning plan for students.
